I understand and appreciate public concern for the 3 branches of our government and the candidates seeking election under each. I agree that a voter should research the candidate and know why he or she would want to vote for that person. I emphatically believe, that the last thing that anyone whose personal liberty is at stake should be concerned with are issues that are UNRELATED to why he or she is in court such as the judge’s party affiliation, personal values, and such. It’s about you and what the law says may or must happen!

I am NOT running for FEDERAL District Court Judge. A Federal Judge is APPOINTED for life. I am running for a COUNTY District Court Judge seat and would have to run EVERY 4 years.
The law required me to state my affiliation when I filed for the seat and the public can access that information on the State Board of Elections website www.ncsbe.gov I am a Democrat. Regarding my financial donations, the law requires me to make that information available. It is available on the same website.
If you want a county judge whose focus is your time, to not be biased but be fair and impartial, to listen to your witnesses, and who is willing to stay to hear your case as long as is legally permissible, then vote for Brenée Orozco.
